“It is a truth universally acknowledged…”

My Top 3 Obsessions (in alphabetical order):

  1. bears
  2. chapstick. I ALWAYS have need one in hand.
  3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch comes in at a close 4th, but I digress..

Pride. And. Prejudice. I’ve read the novel countless times and penciled notes choke the margins on almost every page. Although I have still yet to see (and own!) the 1940 MGM film featuring Laurence Olivier, I have DVDs (and CD soundtracks) of the 1980 BBC dramatization, 1995 BBC adaptation, and the 2005 Focus Features cinematic adaptation starring Keira Knightley. Throughout art school though, Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle – from BBC’s 1995 variation – kept me awake during all those all-nighter marathons. And now, while at work, I have the 11-hour (yes, 11-hour) audiobook blaring in my ears.

You can say that I am a wee-bit obsessed.

So, naturally, when I discovered that Marvel came out with a graphic novel of the literary acclaimed love story, you better believe I was on a mission to get a copy (or two).

Oh, the P&P goodness! And, since I was in such a joyous mood, I also picked up the Marvel graphic novel of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The graphics are just awe-inspiring.
